Man rescued after 10 hours in his car that was buried by a snow plow in a blizzard

A man whose car drove off the road in heavy snow blizzards in New York spent 10 hours in his car after a passing plow and rapidly accumulating snow buried him. Eventually he managed to get an emergency call and was rescued in time from a New York State Trooper.

58-yr-old Kevin Kresen from Candor, spun off the road in the town of Olowo and was burried in snow when a snow plow drove past.

Police say that had the man been there for up to 3 more hours that he wouldn’t have made it because his body temperature would have dropped too much.

Kresen drove into a ditch around midnight and called 911 until early hours but had trouble connecting. According to the authorities, the vehicle was completely disabled and left Kresen without heating.

Finally, rescue workers narrowed the area where they thought the man was and managed to locate and rescue him.
