A 30-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in County Tipperary.
The collision happened on the R445 (Old Dublin Road) in Lisbon, near Nenagh, at around 10.30am on Friday.
The pedestrian died at the scene, reports Breaking News.
No other injuries were reported to the garrison.
The R445 road has been closed pending a technical examination by collision investigators and local diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has video footage to come forward.
Road users who may have camera or dash cam footage and were travelling in the area of Tyone, Thurles Road, Rathmartin and the R445 (Old Dublin Road) in Lisbon between 09:30 and 10:45 are asked to contact gardaí, reports Breaking News.
