Authorities in Spain have sadly confirmed that a British tourist hadms died after getting into difficulties whilst walking up a popular mountain range overlooking the Costa del Sol resort of Marbella.
It is understood the 62-year-old man was found dead on Sunday after a widespread search was launched by the Spanish Civil Guard.
Police say the man got into difficulties whilst trying to reach the summit of Pico de la Concha.
The search was launched after the man contacted his family back home in the UK asking them for help.
It is reported that the man had suffered a fall before becoming hooked by the straps of his backpack.
Police say an investigation into the man’s death is currently ongoing.
