A man received a deep laceration to his face during a stabbing incident that took place on Alfred Street in south Belfast, early this morning.
It is understood that a man in his 30s was attacked with a bladed weapon at around 2am, and received a serious injury to his face. He was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as being approximately 5’8″ tall and of stocky build.
The PSNI are asking any witnesses to contact Detectives from Reactive & Organised Crime Branch at Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 166 of 14/08/16, or report any information via the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
