A father is said to have shot his 9-yr-old son before shooting himself dead, according to St. Petersburg police.
Police responded to the fence at the Lakes apartment complex in Florida shortly after 9:45am on Monday, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.
Police received the call shortly after the boy’s mother went to the home of 44-yr-old Kevin Bybee to pick up her son Andres Chateau, WFLA reported.
The father did not respond to calls or knocks on the door, police said, according to WTVT and that’s when they realised the tragedy had occurred.
Police have launched an investigation into what exactly happened.
