A man has been stabbed in Monavalley, Tralee, Co Kerry, early this morning after trying to stop a man from robbing his car.
The robbery took place at the mans home in Woodbrook Lawn where it is believed the clash happened.
The man was stabbed a number of times and was rushed to hospital for treatment. The injuries are thought to be non life threatening.
Gardai arrived at the scene at 8am and an investigation is underway.
