Gardaí in Kilkenny have confirmed that a man aged in his 20s is being questioned following the discovery of woman’s body in Kilkenny.
It is understood the man was arrested after the body of a woman was found in the Maudlin Street area of the city on Wednesday.
Gardaí say they are currently treating the woman’s death as unexplained and they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
