Union leaders at Dublin Bus have claimed that Transport chiefs have “gone into hiding”.
The claim comes ahead of the second planned 48-hour stoppage by staff. Chiefs at trade union Siptu have claimed that management have refused to enter negotiates with workers in order to halt the dispute.
According to SIPTU Organiser Owen Reidy the matter can only be resolved if management agree to enter discussions. Mr Reidy said: “As always, Siptu representatives are available at any time to enter into serious negotiations aimed at finding an agreed resolution.”
“Unfortunately, as of now, there is no-one sitting at the other side of the table.”
However, Dublin Bus have refuted the claims saying they are fully open to negotiations.
