Mandatory hotel quarantine to come into effect later this week




The Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath has said that mandatory quarantine will come into effect later this week.

Speaking to RTE, McGrath said that the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly will outline guidelines on the system in the next few days.

The news comes afte the legislation for mandatory hotel quarantine for those travelling in from high risk countries was passed last month.

It is understood that the Tifco Hotel Group have been given the contract to implement the system.

The hotel company currently have 24 hotels in Ireland.
