A large Gardai operation is currently underway as two inmates fled from Ennis District Court at around 3.15pm today.
It is understood that one of the inmates was quickly seized again, but a second person remains at large.
The missing prisoner is a 22-year-old man who was being held in relation to a case of dangerous driving. He managed to escape from court as another inmate walked out a back door and ran for the gate.
