Irish actress Saoirse Ronan has been receiving high praise for her role in Brooklyn, and not just from the critics and the audience but also from her colleagues.
Mark Wahlberg, who worked with her in The Lovely Bones (2009) would love to see Saoirse nominated for an Oscar in 2016. He said so recently at the Irish premier of the comedy Daddy’s Home, at Dublin’s Savoy Cinema.
“Saoirse is fantastic. I remember the first day I met her thinking that she would go on to do great things,” he comented. He also revealed that he loved his stay in Ireland and that he’d be very happy to return. This is Wahlberg’s second visit to the country.
