Martin: I feel personally the feeling of dispair and loneliness but if we all pull together, Christmas will give us some restpit from covid

The Taoiseach Micheal Martin says that he feels personally the loneliness and despair that people around the country are feeling.

However, Martin said that the if we all pull together that could get some respite from covid over Christmas. He said that if we pull together for the next 6 weeks, we will suppress the virus and will get out of lockdown on the 1st of December.

He went on to say that we must dig deep and persist and be resilient. “We as a people are much stronger than we realise. We are more resilient. These are tough times but we’ll come through it together”.
