The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has received much criticism over the past days for not keeping the government’s promise to lift all restrictions on October 22nd.
The government announced that there would be tweaks to current regulations, but not everything lifted with the so-called freedom day being pushed off yet again.
Martin was questioned on RTE about covid certs and whether they’d still be required. He said that they would be needed for the next number of months and said that the hospitality sector must start to enforce them.
Asked what people should do if they’re not checked on the way into a premises, Martin said that they should turn on their heel and walk out.
