Micheal Martin is said to have phoned around all weekend to Independent TDs begging them support the government today when Sinn Fein’s motion of no confidence takes place in the Dail today.
The Taoiseach was ringing around and allegedly promising this, that and the other to Independent TDs who’ll get the government enough votes to defeat the motion.
However, Martin said that regardless of the vote, the people of Ireland do not want a general election at this time.
