The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the waiting lists for children within the health service are unacceptable.
Speaking in the Dail, the Taoiseach said the Government are working to address the matter and stated that change is happening.
Martin said that funding for the health service has increased within the past 12 months, but the Covid-19 pandemic has hampered efforts to reduce waiting lists.
He added that the Government is committed to reducing waiting lists for children and significant resources will be allocated to address the matter.
