
While the popularity of two of the major coalition parties in government has increased, support for Sinn Féin has once again declined, reports Breaking News.
According to the most recent Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks survey, Sinn Féin’s popularity has decreased by half since October 2022, dropping to 18%.
At 25, Fine Gael has risen to the top of the national popularity rankings, ahead of Fianna Fáil, which has also increased to 21%.
The Social Democrats see a one to four percent decline in support, while Labour and the Green Party remain stable, reports Breaking News.
Aontú has decreased by 1% to 3%, Solidarity People Before Profit has remained constant at 2%, and Independents and Others has increased by 1% to 19%.
Meanwhile, Mary Lou McDonald, the head of Sinn Féin, has seen a 2% decline in her support rating, dropping to 31%, reports Breaking News.
She currently has a worse approval rating than Peadar TóibÃn of Aontú, who has a 32% rating.
Simon Harris, the Taoiseach, saw a 1% decline to 53%. Nonetheless, he remains the nation’s most beloved party leader, with 50% of the vote, ahead of Tánaiste Micheál Martin, reports Breaking News.
