Former President Mary McAlease was interviewed on last night’s Late Late Show alongside the other female former President Mary Robinson.
Robinson appeared to come across more diplomatic in her approach to denouncing Vladimir Putin and the conflict in the Ukraine, whereas McAlease appeared to be vitriolic and even angry in some of what she said.
Asked for host Ryan Tubridy whether she was taking in any Ukrainian refugees, McAlease said that she had registered to take in some, but Mary Robinson wasn’t asked whether she will and she didn’t jump at the opportunity to say that she was.
