‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has silenced his critics after he beat Nate Diaz in UFC 202 tonight.
The Irish man who was beaten by Diaz last March got his revenge in Las Vegas by going the distance and winning the highly anticipated contest on a score decision.
McGregor who stepped up his game from his previous bout dominated the first two rounds landing definitive and deadly punches which cut Diaz wide open, however as the pair entered the final 3 rounds McGregor tired with Diaz taking advantage with some hard hitting shots of his own, although the Dubliner was not to be undone as he found a second wind and fought back bravely to hold off a taunting Diaz.
‘The Notorious’ was given the decision after the judges scored the contest 48-47, 47-47, and 48-47 in McGregor’s favour.
