The humble and meek are thirsting for blood, as the saying goes. And while Enda Kenny may be more than willing to suck the lifeblood of his own folk through taxation, forced austerity while kneeling before the banks, etc., he’s rather meeker when dealing with The Trump Man.
Mr. Kenny is taking flak from all directions in relation to his newly found attitude towards the US President Elect, particularly because of his failure to challenge Donald Trump’s misogynistic and racist views.
When confronted about it, Mr. Kenny simply said that it wasn’t ‘appropriate’ and that it wasn’t ‘the purpose of the call.’
He added “This is the reality of dealing with a new regime and new administration taking up office in the United States.
“My conversation, both with the president-elect and the vice president-elect, was on the basis of the relationship of this country with the United States.”
