Air temperatures are expected to drop to -4C, prompting Met Eireann to issue a weather warning covering eight counties.
Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal are all affected by the warning, which will remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning.
