Met Eireann all but rules out a White Christmas, forecasting instead a dry, cold, and settled day for the 25th

Met Eireann has pretty much ruled out the possibility of a White Christmas once again, saying that there’s little chance of snow on the big day.

The forecast is for the 25th is for a dry, cold, and settled day, with temperatures reaching 9C or even 10C at times.

The run-up to Christmas will be a largely settled period weather-wise, with many bright spells and just a few isolated showers, with temperatures hovering at around 6-8C.
