Met Eireann has confirmed a positive change in the weather from Wednesday onwards, with temperatures rising to mid 20s at times.
According to the national forecaster, any lingering rain will clear by tomorrow, giving way to a pleasant, sunny day on Wednesday, with top temperatures reaching 22C. Northern areas will be a little cloudier and cooler.
The good news is that the summer-like (for Irish standards) weather will remain for the rest of the week and possibly throughout the weekend.
