There will be no White Christmas for Ireland once again, as the national forecaster has confirmed that Christmas Day will be a mostly cloudy but dry day, with some bright periods, and rain coming later in the evening.
Looking at the weekend, Met Eireann is saying that Saturday will be a very wet and windy day, with strong southwesterly gusts around Atlantic coastlines.
Sunday promises to be a rather cold day, with temperatures remaining in single digits.
