
The national forecaster has confirmed that summer-like weather will make a welcome return early in the coming week.
Temperatures took a significant tumble over the past 3 days, following a spell of hot weather, with highs of 27-28C. Today, Sunday, will be a dull but largely dry day. Some sunny spells will develop in late afternoon, best in the south and east.
Monday will be another dry day, with a mix of cloudy and sunny spells, and highs of 19C across Munster and Leinster.
Tuesday is expected to be a warm day, with temperatures reaching 20-21C at times.
The outlook is for a mostly dry week, with temperatures ranging between 15-21C, with some light showers at times.
