Met Eireann has confirmed that the weather will remain cold throughout the week, with the possibility of even colder conditions just around the corner.
According to the national forecaster, daytime temperatures will remain in low single digits for the next few days, plunging as low as -4C at night.
Early forecasts point to even colder air moving in next week, though this is yet uncertain.
The only good news is that there will be little to no rain for the foreseeable future.
