Met Eireann is forecasting a freezing night ahead, with temperatures falling to -2C in places.
According to the national forecaster, daytime temperatures will remain in single digits across eastern areas, with other regions seeing the thermometer rise to 9C-10C.
The overall outlook is for a week of cold and unsettled weather.
