Met Eireann is forecasting a ‘prolonged’ hot spell for Ireland. possibly lasting the entire month of May.

According to the national forecaster, a southwesterly airflow will push temperatures up over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, Met Eireann says that the coming weekend will be a fine one weather-wise, with highs of 20C likely.
