London Crossrail’s new Elizabeth line will finally open on May 24, following years of delays.
The railway will run from Reading in Berkshire to Shenfield in Essex and Abbey Wood in southeast London, operating 12 trains per hour between Paddington and Abbey Wood from Monday to Saturday between 6.30am and 11pm.
It is hoped that the Queen will personally attend to the inauguration.
