Met Eireann is forecasting horrendous weather for the coming weekend, with hailstones, sleet, and thunderstorms predicted.
Today, Friday, will see a band of rain moving from the west throughout the day, and temperatures remaining in low single digits.
Saturday will bring some bright periods and blustery showers during the morning and afternoon. The west and northwest will see the worst of the weather.
Sunday is expected to remain wet and showery pretty much nationwide.
