Meanwhile, today, Saturday, will remain mostly dry bar a few scattered showers, particularly around eastern and southern areas.
The weather will take a turn for the worse late on Sunday, with heavy rain across the west and north. The rain will be widespread by Monday morning.
Very unsettled conditions are expected to last until Wednesday at least.
