Met Eireann is today forecasting sub-zero temperatures for the coming week, with the possibility of snow on high ground.
According to the national forecaster, temperatures will drop to -2C on Monday night, starting a trend of cold weather, with daytime temperatures remaining in single digits by midweek.
There is a possibility of snow falling on high ground by Tuesday night as a band of rain crosses the country.
