Met Eireann is today forecasting unsettled weather for the coming days, but better conditions are likely next week.
According to the national forecaster, the remainder of this week will see a mix of bright periods and showers, with some thundery rain expected on Saturday and a very wet Sunday.
The only good news is that high pressure appears to be building up, which may bring more settled weather early next week.
