Met Eireann have issued a national weather warning, with spot flooding expected in places across the country.
The current status of  yellow alert is for Dublin, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford.
It is expected that up to 40mm of rain will fall over the course of the day.
