Met Eireann is warning of a big change in the weather next week, with wintry conditions expected once again.
In the meantime, the run-up to Easter weekend is forecast to be rather mild, with highs of up to 18C at times, and good sunny spells.
The weather is likely to take a turn for the worse by the weekend, with a marked dip in temperatures and widespread wintry showers and frost.
Saturday is forecast to start off dry, but cloud cover will build throughout the day and rain showers will spread southwards during Sunday and Monday.
