Met Eireann has issued a grim weather forecast for the weekend, with heavy, blustery rain predicted, and also risk of thunderstorms.
There’s a Weather warning in place for Connacht, Ulster, north Leinster, and north Munster from 9am on Friday to 9am on Saturday.
The outlook is for very unsettled conditions for the next few days, but there are hopes of a return to better weather later in the month.
