Met Eireann has just issued a miserable weather forecast for next week, with freezing temperatures, heavy rain, and strong winds in the cards.
According to the national forecaster, winter will stay on for at least another week, with little in the way of improvement for the foreseeable future.
The outlook for the current weekend is for a mostly bright and dry Saturday, though rain showers might break out towards late evening.
Sunday is expected to be an overall cloudy and dull day, with daytime temperatures remaining in single digits.
