Met Eireann has issued a nationwide Status Yellow warning for widespread heavy rain on Sunday.
According to the national forecaster, two weather systems in the Atlantic are causing very unstable atmospheric conditions, leading to sporadic, heavy showers across Ireland.
Temperatures will remain relatively mild though, with highs of 20-21C likely.
