Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow marine gale warning for some coastal areas.
The warning, which covers from Slyne Head to Erris Head to Rossan Point, will kick in at 1pm and remain in effect until 5pm today.
People are being advised to stay away from the coast in those areas due to strong winds and high seas.
