Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for heavy rainfall covering Munster, Connacht, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, and Westmeath.
The warning will kick in at 6pm this evening, Saturday, and remain in place until midnight on Monday.
There has been heavy rain falling over the last 48 hours, so further rainfall is likely to lead to localised flooding.
The outlook is for a period of unsettled weather during the coming week.
