Met Eireann issues Status Yellow weather warning affecting 12 counties




Met Eireann has just issued a Status Yellow alert for rain, thunder, and possible flooding affecting 12 counties.

The alert, which will kick in at 1am tonight and remain on for 24h, is in place for the whole of Munster, plus counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, and Offaly.

The upshot is that the upcoming weekend weather is forecast to be rather benign, with mostly dry and sunny weather on Saturday and Sunday.
