We’re in for some rough weather over the next few hours, as three separate weather warnings have been issued for later in the day.
A status orange wind alert will be in place across much of the west, with winds expected to reach speeds of between 110km/h and 130km/h.
Elsewhere, a yellow wind warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford. Wind speeds of 90km/h to 110km/h are forecast across those counties.
And also, a snow and ice warning, with snow accumulations of up to 3 centimetres, has been issued for Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.
The first weather alert will kick in at 9pm tonight.
