Met Eireann has this afternoon issued a thunderstorm warning affecting 13 counties.
The warning, which will remain in effect until 8pm, covers counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, and Tipperary.
The national forecaster is forecasting heavy showers of rain and hail also, which might lead to localized flooding.
