Met Eireann has just issued two new weather warnings for heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures.
Many areas in Ireland woke up to a white mantle on Sunday morning, and temperatures are set to remain very cold for the rest of the day, with the thermometer reaching 4C-5C at best.
An existing warning, which was due to expire at noon, will now expire at 7pm instead.
A second warning for sub-zero temperatures will come into effect at 7pm and remain in effect until 10am on Monday morning. The thermometer is expected to sink to -5C overnight.
