Met Eireann has issued an urgent nationwide warning ahead of the arrival of Storm Gerrit later today.
The warning will kick in at 8pm tonight and remain in effect until midnight on Thursday.
According to the national forecaster, most of the country will experience heavy rain and strong winds, which may lead to localized flooding and hazardous walking and driving conditions.
