Met Eireann has just issued an urgent nationwide weather warning as miserable conditions are about to hit the country.
The Status Yellow thunderstorm warning will be in place from 6am to 7pm on Thursday.
According to the national forecaster, Ireland will experience spells of rain with the possibility of thunder and lightning, and even hail at times.
The outlook is for a few days of very unsettled weather lasting into early next week.
