Met Eireann has issued an urgent Status Yellow rain warning for two counties as weather conditions deteriorate rapidly.
The warning, which covers counties Cork and Kerry, will come into effect at 10pm tonight and remain in place until 8am tomorrow.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience very heavy rainfall, which may lead to localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
