Met Eireann has issued an urgent Status Yellow weather warning for 13 counties.
The warning, which covers counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, and Sligo, will remain in place until 11am on Sunday.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy rain, which may lead to localized flooding in places.
