Met Eireann has issued an urgent Status Yellow weather warning for heavy rain affecting counties Cork and Kerry.
The warning, which kicked in at noon today, will remain in place for 24h.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience very heavy rain over the coming hours, potentially leading to localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
