Met Eireann has issued an urgent Status Yellow weather warning for rain and flood affecting 11 counties.
The warning, which covers the entirety of Connacht plus counties Longford, Louth, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, and Monaghan, will be in place from 9pm tonight to 9pm on Tuesday.
Up to 50mm of rain is expected to fall across many of these areas, which might lead to localized flooding.
