Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather thunderstorm warning for ten counties.
The warning, which covers counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, and the entirety of Munster, will be in place between 9pm and 2am tonight.
According to the national forecaster, thunderstorms are likely to develop around some areas of these counties, with possible lightning and also the possibility of localised flooding.
